Well Gas and I pulled my tank today looking for damaged wiring because my hid headlight goes out whenever I run the rpms up high:bang: Found nothing put the tank back on pulled the side covers to check around the ehc nothing major there put all back together turn key hit run fuel pump ran longer than normal so Gas hit the off then hit run again lights in spedo flashed tach pegged out fuel pump constantly running and a relay buy the ehc is also rappidly ticking. When you turn the key on the ehc yellow and green (green flashing) next to each other third row from the rear are on. when you hit the run a red at the other end also third row but from the front is on

Should note that other than moving the tank to check the headlight wire connection, nothing else was touched there.

Under the seat we made sure the ehc connections were tight, there was one wire harness (something for the efi) that was being pulled so we unplugged and rerouted and plugged back in. BUt that is it.

Kam's EHC lights pic

Looks like the power was on (yellow light)
Controller was blinking (green)
Then the ignition (red) was flickering when run was pushed.

WTF is the controller?

I would go back and revisit that connection area and check to make sure it is snapped together completely. Check the connector contact pins to make sure they did not slide out of their connector housing or got bent and crushed when reconnected. Maybe I'm wrong but isn't there an EHC reset proceedure in the owners manual for when you disconnect the battery?

Is that the correct EHC picture for a 2007?

Hope you find it!

BIG HOUSE,
There is two connectors that look the same and have the same connector end. One is the speedometer connector and the other is a optional tachometer plug. The optional analog tachometer plug has a red, yellow and black wire. The speedometer connector is a red, green and black wire. Make sure that is correct. If it is in the other connector, the tachometer will peg out and the speedometer will only cut up to about 10 mph. No damage will occur though if it is wrong.
I am trying to post a PDF of the electrical schematic for the 07 Bulldog but cannot upload it for some reason.
Drop me a email and I will send it to you and get some more info.

Nomad,

Great info! I would really like to have a copy of that for the BDBrothers. We're all trying to get Big House to Myrtle Beach.

Neil... the relay that we hear clicking is on the right side just above the EHC. It has 4 wires going into it. It seems to click at the same rate as the fuel pump sounds sick. Is it some type of fuel pump cut off relay keeping the fuel pump from running properly?

Im hearing it might be the ecm (which is on efi bikes in addition to the ehc) so if the admin doesnt mind would you bump this thread to the efi sec:2thumbs:

Give us a update Bighouse...
Yes the ECM does feed through the relay coil through the ignition switch...
Do not see it taking a sh?t from what was accomplished though
