03 Chop electirc issue. Started with a full charge this afternoon. Went to the local, had a couple. Started up okay at the saloon, got home about 4 miles, parked and shut down to open garage.

Starter won't engage, speedo started flashing. Put a meter on bat. and pulled 11.00 vlts .

Vr or ehc?

Another round please
Headlight working when you turn on key? If battery is perfect and headlight won't work, thats a EHC issue. When my ehc went out(twice), headlight would not go on at all. How old of a battery? If battery is not in great shape, get a new one. That seems to be the problem on alot of issues. Every 2 years I get a new on for my sanity. Also check all connections.

Didn't have a flashing on the speedo .. and low beam worked great ... but mine would die sporadically .... then start up again after 5 - 10 min. Ended up being the EHC.

Hope you don't have to use the "04 EHC" Nam ... BDM just raised the price on that AGAIN to $582.00

make sure your charging while running. 14+ volts.

could be something simple like plug at stator disconnected or battery cables loose.

Just got back from garage, full charge on battery, started no problem. Will check all tomorrow again.

Thanks, Nam

Did you do anything to it after you parked it?

Check your battery connections... they come loose.

Gas, may have tighten up a tad, but it seems i do this almost all the times (preride checkup). Positive side is the most (prevalant) if i had to tighten.
Just cannot undestand that much loss in volts (hope it just a bad battery).

Nam, I doubt it's your EHC. You have the old type in the 03 unlike the 04's. Check the electricals like wires, connectors or VR first. Do what Marv said get her running and see if she is charging then go from there.

Your stator is the MC equvilant to your car's alternator

There is a plug just in front of this... you can see it slightly in this pic...
