Electric C/R INFO

Did my search on compression release.Did not find what i need.I'm going to be working on a Swift chopper 113 cu.in S&S motor.In the center of the head there is a rubber bulb like our 117 bdm have.This a six bolt valve cover not TP.What is needed to do a swap of these electric C/R after i get the cover off ? The C/R are stuck in the up position. :flag: 05chop

You will ave to buy/borrow a special tool from S&S to remove the CR. That is a 2 piece tool and as you can visualise it is taller thn the rocker boxes(hint no need to remove them) but, if you have Tight fitting gas tank then the tank will have to be removed to get to rear Cylinder.
Also if you contact S&S they will replace the CR free and send you the tool free.

Yep thats it. Unless you're gonna work on a loy of them you may want to find a loaner at that price. It works similar to a EGR valve socket because of the wire.

Looks to me you have to pull the covers to R/R the rubber blubs correct?

Sul Wonder if bdm C/R are made different at the bottom.That tool listed has slots in it?

Wonder if the 113 cu in S&S is similar to your bdm C/R ? Thats what i will be working on? Now I see why its a two piece tool with the slots and hole for the wire to go into.
