EHC???

I'm a relatively new Big Dog owner. I had Harley's before. I am seeing a lot of forum traffic regarding the EHC and changing over to WP or PDM conversions. I'm putting together that it's the main brain & interface for the BD. Is this correct?

I'd appreciate a little education on it. Also, when would you all recommend converting over to wire plus or some other EHC substitute.


I actually want to change out my gauges and am considering rewiring the bike to make it more "universal".

Thoughts...opinions please..........

If your EHC isn't broken, don't fix it. Wire Plus will take all day to solder/crimp wires. I have heard PDM is plug and play.

Actually my speedo is on the fritz. It jumps all over the place. And my front right turn signal is inoperative.

If it were me, I would clean my speed pickup and buy a Dakota Digital. While I was waiting for the Dakota Digital from Mad Dog (vendor on our site), I would fix the front right turn signal. And you don't have much time because Mad Dog ships fast!
