EHC Update....

Just an update.

Moved to florida with all my bikes.

As you know, my wire plus blew up and I replaced it with OEM harness and AXEL EHC. Kaptin and I rewired my bike.

a. I am STILL a TRUE believer in AXEL’s EHC

b. Please do keep supporting the KAPTIN at wildsteedworx.com and Derek, Erik and Donna.

Here’s what happened:

All of a sudden, my bike started shutting down when warm, at any RPM…all I had to do was hit RUN and pop clutch and it would restart….then, a few miles later, same thing…when it shut down though, it would RESET my trip ODOMETER……every single time…..

SO, since I have EXTRA parts, here’s what I replaced:

Ignition module
PCB boards
Speed Sensor
REPlaced COIL
TACH ring
checked headlight…..
pulled tank and checked all wiring…..all grounds good….

No matter what I did, or replaced, bike kept shutting down after warmed up…..so, against all odds, because AXEL’s EHC is AWESOME…….I decided to put pull AXEL’s EHC and put my OEM Big Dog EHC back in…hasn’t shut down in 600 miles plus…

so then….yes it goes on…because I LOVE AXEL’s EHC, I put that same AXEL EHC in my mastiff (removing the OEM EHC) and went for a ride….just to test my theory….and it started shutting down my Mastiff when warmed up…..

Goes to show, AXEL’s EHC is AWESOME, but manufacturing SUCKS! Not his issue, but something just isn’t right….

Well i have been back and forth on replacing my stock Gen I Ech on my Mastiff. Every one who finds out Im still running stock always says its going to go any day, but knock on wood no issues as of yet. So because no issues Ihavent bought one yet. I really want to go with a plug and play style, and i love the whole bluetooth set up of the Axel's. Maybe he (Axel) will chime in and let us know if there is a problem or maybe Marky-Marc just got a bad one (built on Friday after lunch).


But Marc hate youre having issues with yours, maybe Axel will get it fixed. Plus hate we never see you on here any more and really miss your videos and if you ever decide to do more i got one lined up for you to do.

On that note, IF you ever want to figure out how to get 40+PSI oil pressure, with oil blowing out of your VENT tube, blowing your rocker box gasket, let me know...I have a tip for that....and I'm very happy that @Mr. Wright brought me BACK down to earth to keep things simple to figure THAT one out...lol

But, as we all know, there is NOTHING, NOTHING in this world better than riding a BIG DOG in and out of traffic, 90mph in a 40mph, splitting traffic.....BE SAFE!

I feel your pain brother and please put the videos back up you inspire a lot of us who think they know more than they do. They really help.
UMMM...you guys probably know more than me, that's why I break shit 2 times and then figure out how to fix it right the 3rd time....but, since you asked so nicely....videos are back up...enjoy the TOOTHLESS, UGLY and POS videos by MARKY-MARC......

that sounds like the wrong oil filter for starters.

That’s the best part. You go through it three times before we see the videos so we know it’s right.lol thanks for helping. How’s Florida? Paul is down there now. He is putting in a pool. Margaritas and a pool. Watch out for those POP TOPS I hear they will cut your heal and you’ll have to cruise on back home.

OMG, I'm laughing so hard right now...but, hey, maybe I should put the wrong oil filter on and video what happens? lol...love it Mike!!!! But, I use a product my cousin and I have used for years on cars and bikes, even if you have NO OIL in a vehicle, your engine won't blow immediately...for like 100 miles or so.....

Was riding one night, oil light came on, checked oil, was a little low, so filled it. Next night, riding, and I'm blowing smoke like diesel and oil is pumping out of my vent tube onto my Levi's and I'm like WTF??? Found a leak on my rear Rocker box cover, so I thought, ok, it's been MANY miles...so took it apart, put it back together, new rocker gaskets...remember, I like to fuck things up...once rocker box cover gasket on rear were replaced, MORE oil came out of vent tube (oil escapes the weakest point)....so THEN, I started to pay attention...took the rear back apart...and upon further analysis, it seems I was MISSING a part of my rubber, TOP O-Ring on my TP rocker box covers...hmmmm...so, I started to look for it....couldn't find it, pulled rear head, CAM cover, etc.....re-did head gaskets, rear pushrods were clean....and I was FOCUSING on the rear pushrods because that's where I THOUGHT the problem was.....shannon finally said, did you check the front pushrods? And I'm like, nope....well I did....My FRONT pushrods were clogged....I'm assuming the piece of rubber O-ring I was missing, fell out, and meandered and melted and clogged my front pushrods (I could not blow through them or anything).....once I cleaned them up, put it back together, I have normal oil flow.....and I haven't ruined a pair of jeans since then.....

hmm...figure it out...my son and daughter blew 3 oil pans on my audi's as they were growing up on speed bumps between Vail and Breckenridge, drove home 80 miles from VAIL to Breckenridge with no oil and engine never blew....it blew some tensioners, but not the engines.....I lived in CO for 18 years.....my cousin owns an Audi Shop up there.......TBH, ask Curtis at wildsteedworx, maybe he will tell you, me, not so much.....but I also know a guy who has 500k miles on his GM vehicle using ALL their products....so, hey......and that is EXACTLY why, my HIGH oil pressure and no oil flow didn't BLOW my engine.....ASK CURTIS at wildsteedworx.com....

Look at BG MOA, made for cars....however, I'm going to get SLAMMED for this, but I've been putting a little bit of it in my Big Dog oil for years.....They do make a Motorcycle additive, but, I've always stuck with the BG MOA for my cars and bikes.....it's a product I believe in because of my past experiences with ANY engine.....and my kids.....they do shows with engines, engines with other additive and their BG MOA, they drain the oil and let the engines run....guess who's engine does NOT BLOW?

Mark if you send your axel EHC to figure out what went wrong please update and let us know what the problem was I have two.

so, can anyone guess what happened tonight? On my daily ride before speedo pool dip? I fixed all the clogged pushrods, no more oil leaks or blow by or oil coming out of my vent tube-running like a champ no EHC problems-have been riding it HARD for weeks....? remember all my problems before answering, all is good....but, does anyone care to take a guess why I was running on ONLY ONE cylinder tonight the last 20 miles home? HINT: Coming home after a 100+ ride...lost power...and I was running on ONE cylinder (the rear-can you guess how hot a S&S cylinder gets when you are only running on one cylinder - that's a bonus question....but HOLY FUCKING SHIT it gets FUCKING hotttttttt) and yes, touching the spark plug wire, riding down the road for the non working front cylinder woke me up.....hmmmmmm.....As soon as I got home, I fixed it....so...any guesses? And then, why did it cause that?......
