Yep, I could rewire my whole bike from scratch and have enough left to take a bunch of friends out to a birthday dinner at a fine restaurant. No thanks. I'd rather control my $1095.
Why not answer some of the questions presented here? This is a decent size target audience that probably know more about their machines than the average BDM owner. After all, if a new owner comes to this forum asking about EHC replacements your "RHC kit" will NOT be one of our recommendations if we don't know anything about it.Tired of waiting for that EHC replacement? Ready to install we have the answer! Our RHC kits will fit all makes and models of Big Dog motorcycles. We do not sell this kit over the counter but install it for $1095.00. Once installed your in control of the future. Please call us at 770-752-9160 and speak to Steve or Lannie for this info.:flag:
Because i am working in the shop so much now i cant get on this site. We always have a phone number to call 770-752-9160. M-F 9 to 6 Saturday 9-4.Sounds good, but why not answer the questions being posted on here. Sure we can call and find out, but we want to know as this pertains to 99% of the members on this forum. How many Bikes have you installed your product on and of those installed how many are members on this forum that can support your claim. Let start with posting the answer to those questions posted above and we will all be happy![]()

After reading all issues here about the EHC (I was nervous about it myself when I have got my Lovely Ridgeback) I must totally agree whith You on this Curtis. :2thumbs:All true but they could just be trying to generate interest in their area.
And if thats the case then everyone else needs a different solution.
Its possible they need revenue first to start expanding on it.
God knows there a number of projects I would already be offering for sale if I had the revenue base to pay for it.
My focus is going to be on continuing the BD concept as I believe they were on the right track but just did not get to finish it.
I still firmly believe that the vast majority of EHC issues were and still are be caused by the end user.
Even if it is inadvertently. And if those loop holes can be closed the EHC is far superior to any other system.
Update for this unit installed....... the cost of our unit has gone up so we now charge $1250.00 installed. This unit has been built for well over 15 years. Please call us for any info. 770-752-9160. Thank you. Steve.
Agrees !1250$ dollarsLOL I could buy 3 POS WirePlus kits for that,or 2 PDM kits complete.....or buy a Ultima Kit for 200$,and slap some HD hand controls on and be totally done for around 450$........ahhhhhhhhhhhhh Hmmmmmmmmm
No thanks,I'll rewire my own bike.......
This is kinda an Old Post also.......
No problem. I have seen many wire plus units fail through my shop. also this price covers the cost of me installing the unit. i have seen 10 or more bdm kits fail as well. i have been installing these units for 6 years. not one failed yet. this is only a choice you have if you want to ride with no troubles.1250$ dollarsLOL I could buy 3 POS WirePlus kits for that,or 2 PDM kits complete.....or buy a Ultima Kit for 200$,and slap some HD hand controls on and be totally done for around 450$........ahhhhhhhhhhhhh Hmmmmmmmmm

No you can't, but then again I haven't seen anyone "condemn" Bikers Dream on here. I think people are just voicing their opinion about their business practices. In my opinion I think it is a bad business model / practice to only install something and not sell it across the counter. That's my opinion. I have purchased things from Bikers Dream in person on two different occasions. I was there in March of 2011 and again in April of this year. When I was there in March of 2011 I asked them if they had a 2in2 for my 2003 Chopper and he stated yes but he would only sell it to me if I allowed them to install it. When I asked him why, he stated that V&H do not list which 2in2 fits the BDM Chopper and that selling me one would give up a "trade secret". In other words to him it was a trade secret which part# 2in2 fit Big Dog Motorcycles. I asked him about it again because I thought he was joking and he repeated he would not sell me a 2in2 without allowing him to install it because which one fit my motorcycle was a trade secret. You can't fault someone for offering a service at a price... Whatever that price may be. If you want to pay it, well then pay it. If you don't... Then do not. It is not fair to condemn someone for their asking price, unless there is some proof of ineptitude or outright wrong doing. Other then that proof, you may have no idea of the depth of quality of input for the price. There is alway the adage to consider: "you get what you pay for", and there may be a resounding insight beyond that of which presents itself at play. If you think you have a better alternative, then invoke it...but if not, build if yourself or take it the smartest way you can get it.
Well, it is a different animal entirely if you have been witness to shady dealings...furthermore, I agree that this would be the place to voice your opinions be them negative or positive. It sounds like Biker's Dream does not understand the concept of "word of mouth", or the merits of building a positive reputation. That type of policy is "Penny wise-Dollar foolish". Nobody wants to deal with a business that is not willing to make their customers (or potential customers) feel that they have their best interests in mind.No you can't, but then again I haven't seen anyone "condemn" Bikers Dream on here. When I'm in the Atlanta area I will stop by there and make a small purchase, but I'm not sure I will ever (I'll just stop short of never) make a major purchase from Bikers Dream.
If anyone wants to know who the person is that told me that, I'll be glad to describe him.
Also I posted this in a previous thread after the encounter in 2011.
You are correct, it is their choice to use that business model, but it is also my choice to not only turn down their business but also to voice my negative opinion to others in an open forum when the question is posed of their business practices
