EHC question

yes I know! Another EHC question

I decided to install the EHC on the Mastiff and keep the RIP or PDM as a spare (depending on which one I get rid off first) Mounted it with mounting screws facing the ground and all hell broke loose. All lights were on, horn was going off, 4 ways were on. If I mount it to the side of the battery box it works perfectly. Is there some type of a sensor inside the EHC that causes that if not mounted properly? Think some of you guys should plan a ride to Manitoba to help me get this thing out of the garage. Spent over 3k last year at a shop that was recommended to me and the bike came back worst than it was when it left.

Is this an EFI or an EHC from one?

If so, it will have a bank angle sensor.

I am not clear how you are mounting it. Try posting some pics.

cuz I'm old and cant remember how it was mounted in the 1st place. Also the one I had before wasn't the smart carbureted so it did not have the bank angle sensor

Seriously my original Ehc was older 2007 version and this one is smart carburetedodel. That is why I mounted it this way instead of how it was originally mounted. Everything seems to work fine. Now if I can only figure out how to route wires on the rear harness

Never seen one mounted vertically. Should be horizontal.

Not clear on what your question is on the rear harness.

Might want to ask for help using a specific question.

Sorry if I sound like an idiot, but what the heck is smart carb?
My carb is rather idiot, it just want to give more juice even if it is clear there is a police car in front of me.

it is mounted horizontally but to the side of the battery box not with the mounting screws facing down. the back harness I'm referring to is the lower one. sorry about not being clear

What I see that is strange is how your terminals are. One routes to the front and one routes to the back. On all the bikes I have and worked on, the EHC terminals and wires route to the front towards the fault lights. Just wondering why yours has one routing forward and the other back. I have the same EHC mounted on both my bikes.
