EHC Question

Can anyone please tell me.
What symptoms are related to a bad EHC?

My motor all of a sudden, after just sitting for a lunch break.
Would not start.
However, the starter turned over like always.
But would not start.

I did try a by pass test.
To by pass the EHC.
Running a wire from battery to coil.
And the motor started right up.

What exactly are the symptoms of a bad EHC?

Were the stock wires still hooked up when you did this?

With the ignition module unplugged, do you get 12V on the red wire of the plug (bike side)?

Since the EHC controls most things there really isn't any "exact" signs of failure... sorry!

With the ignition module unplugged, do you get 12V on the red wire of the plug (bike side)? (Which red wire on the plug end are you referring to?) Confused when you mention bike side. What does that mean?

Confused when you mention bike side. What does that mean?

Once you unplug the ignition module connector (the 4 pin going to the bike) one side of the connector is attached to the module (module side) and the other is connected to the bike (bike side). Make more sense now?
