I have a 2004 chopper, I’ve had about a year, and have been setting a long time, needed lots of work, I put a new wire harness on it, and it seem to help out a lot, with the problem of cutting out, it started doing it again and I have to do is put pressure on the harness that hooks to the ECH and the red light will come on for it to start, I wonder if there is someway to repair it, I think it might be a broken pin , thanks for your help

A pin can get pushed back. Does your conector still have the two locking clips one at each end? Take it off and clean everything. Pins should all be the same length. If the locking clips are bent you could put a couple of wire ties?
Thanks ... Yes it dose , maybe a good cleaning and new dielectric grease

Not too sure how a pin would be broken off....I’m recalling once when Blacktopper’s old K9 quit on him it was because a pin had retracted and was no longer making contact. Wouldn’t hurt to take it apart and have a look.
I have taken it apart and I checked every pen and could not see anything wrong, I put more dielectric grease in there and took it for a Ride , it did good !! Thanks

I’m pretty sure I fix the problem, there was a lockdown screw missing, it was hard to see, I never had this apart before, you have the single connector on top of EHC and this double underneath, I cleaned it real good with a small drillbit running in reverse with steel wool on the bit , Plus electronic parts cleaner and a toothbrush and then I blew it all out wirh air , rode all day on Saturday, ran absolutely perfect , thanks to all of you for your help ..

For your future knowledge that isn't an 04 EHC. Someone put an 05+ 2 connector in your bike the 04 only had one. I bet if you read that white sticker it will tell you what year EHC.

There was a recall on the 04 EHC because it would loosen up it didn't have those screws, just clipped in. The recall fix was just an adapter that screwed in they didn't replace the entire EHC cause it would cost too much, still single connector.

Either way sounds like your good to go!
