EHC Ordered

So I decided to go ahead and just replace my EHC. I was having issues with it starting when it was cool out. I ordered the Gen II rip kit from big dog. Was wondering if there is anything specific about the install I should know before I start. It's supposed to be plug & play. I'm still waiting for it to arrive.

I think you'll be very happy with your choice. Easy to install. There are threads available on the technical forums that include info about waterproofing the connectors, and your overall electrical system that are worth a look.

I Don't know about the RIP Kits, supposedly they are easy to install, I know a few guys had some minor issues, but other than that it should be fairly easy, hopefully you get instructions with it, I think that was one of the issues from what I can remember, if I were you I would take the time to do shrink tubing on all your jst connectors while you have it appart, I did all mine when I installed my ESC, it helps keep moisture out and also stops the connectors from pulling appart, good luck and I just noticed that your bike is almost identical to mine but you have an 08, and your name is John also, with the same last initial "C" also! Haha, kinda funny.
