EHC Operation

Energy One

Since I didn't get an owners manual when I bought my bike(2010 Bulldog) I will pass on what little I know about the special tricks that the EHC on my bike does.

Flashes the tach below 1,000 RPM (don't like that)
Flashes the tack above 6,000 or so RPM (don't like that either)
Shuts the headlight off when the start button is pushed.
Shuts the headlight off when the 4 ways are on and the engine is not running.
Automatically switches to high beam if low beam burns out. (learned that from experience)
Automatically pulls the compression releases in for about 1 second when starting.
Has a Bank Angle Sensor (or Tip Sensor) that completely shuts down ALL electrical functions if the bike falls over. Bike must be shut off to reset.

If there are some other functions that it does, chime in (yea I know, strands you in BFE at the worst possible time)

My bike is injected, and I think the EHC does some different functions on a carbed bike. My timing, rev limiter and other engine controls are handled in the S&S EFI module.

So far mine has worked well after BDMPP fixed a software problem with the Bank Angle Sensor.

I assume the bank angle sensor is for efi bikes only?
If your voltage drops the ehc will sound the horn and turn the 4 ways on.
