That is an aftermarket EHC. Find your ignition module. If it's OEM, it will be a silver box that has a heart with a sword going through it. It has a red LED. It should light up when you push the run button with key on. It should flash while cranking the engine. If it lights up but does not flash while cranking, disconnect the three wire connector that has a red, black, and green wire. Connect a wire to the green wire. Turn the key on, and push the run button. Touch the wire you connected to the green wire repeatedly to battery ground. If the red LED on the ignition module flashes, replace the sensor plate in the nose cone of the engine. If the LED lights up but doesn't flash, replace the ignition module. If the LED on the ignition module does not light up when the run button is pushed, disconnect the other connector, and check for power on the red wire with run button pushed, and ground on the black. If there's no power, it's most likely the EHC. If the red LED on the ignition module does flash while cranking and you have no spark, it's probably a bad ignition coil. Hope this helps.

Welcome from NJ,
What year and model is your Bike? What are the symptoms of your problem? Try to be more specific like "the bike will turn over but will not start"
If it cranks but doesn't start first make sure fuel is getting to the carb. If the bike sat for a long time you should dump the old fuel and put fresh fuel in. Pull the air cleaner and look inside to see fuel squirt when you hit the throttle. If your getting fuel then start looking for ignition problems.
If your bike is a later model this file can help you troubleshoot.

Thank you for great info. red light stay on not flashing even i press run button some times it comes little noise and fume from negative side of the battery. I dont exactly know what year is the bike since its a conversion bike engine might be a old but bike i got in 2018
Reach out to Curtis @ Wild Steed Worx. He may be able to offer more insight.

That particular EHC 58 did have a known failure in the starting circuit. You can contact Curtis at Wildsteedworx and have it tested. Follow the instructions Mojo offered to verify where the actual failure is taking place. Best of luck getting your sled back rolling!

That is a Pitbull, somewhere around 2008. If the bike cranks, it is not the EHC. The smoking at the battery is a bad connection, but not the issue. This engine uses a crankshaft position sensor to trigger the ignition module. The signal goes straight to the ignition module, and does not pass through the EHC. The sensor is located at the front of the engine below the oil filter. Disconnect the sensor. Place a volt meter set to AC volts across the terminals of the sensor itself, with the sensor still installed. Crank the engine. It should produce 3-4 AC volts while cranking engine. If it does not, replace the sensor. If it does, the ignition module is the problem.
