My 06 K9 is still running strong on her original EHC :2thumbs:

don´t ask me how many miles has clocked... I would not have a clue

03 Chopper, 23000 miles, rode in heavy rain a lot, power washed many times, before I read on here not to. It's never on the tender, and still has the original EHC.

Coming up on 9 years with no ehc issues, still ride in the rain, still wash the hound, still love my Big Dog.

Still looking to hear from others with no ehc fails

09 k-9 and no problems with the original ehc. knock on wood!!!

My '06 Mastiff no problems with EHC. Only problem ever was snapped clutch cable.

06 Ridgeback, replaced 5 EHCs in 2 years + alot of other stuff,even caught on fire.
my 08 Ridgeback, replaced 0 EHCs in 2 years no real problems at all.

Purchased my K9 new in March 2006. On September 15, 2006 I received the notice below from Big Dog concerning the EHC Recall. Had the replacement done and no issues. Currently 20K miles. This made me wonder since many owners of Big Dogs have purchased used, perhaps the original owners ignored the recall and did not have the work completed and many are now experiencing the problems due to the negligence of the original owner? Just a thought?
