I got my mastiff in June 2006, have spent easily 1/3 of my ride time in rain, and have had absolutly no EHC issues.

4 years running strong on the same EHC, yeah, no shit.:2thumbs:

Lets here about your Big Dog with NO EHC issues.

Mine had the EHC replaced on a service bulletin or recall, but it never failed. Runs awesome now with no problems. So, technically I've had no failures but just a replacement by the dealer when the 1500 mile service was performed.

Oh PS, I ride in the rain all the time!!!! Better rain than no ride at all!!!:2thumbs:

I too had mine replaced when the recall came out, I try not to ride in the rain been caught a couple of times no problems, I'm real careful when I wash not to drown the seat area, It did get wet once wouldn't start and we were going on a 12 bike ride, a quick blow dry with a hair dryer and a couple wiggles of the unit and Varooom. Bottom line I don't trust it anymore

05 Ridgeback, only problems I've ever had were the chrome peeling and the gas cap sticking. Ride in Georgia (lots of rain) and never had any electrical issues. Hope this doesn't jinx me....

I have been riding in south Louisiana heat and humidity and plenty of rain since 2002. I have no problems with the Bulldog so far. Sending this quote will be the kiss of death though, it happens all the time.

Sometimes ride in the good old Pacific NW rain here too, and no EHC probs.
If you don't get in the rain once in a while, you aren't riding enough!
8700 miles.:2thumbs:

2003 BD Chopper. No major ECH problems as of late. Only possible EHC problem is the engine dies when I honk the horn. No big deal I just use my middle finger instead.

4 1/2 years no ehc problems (knock on wood). Been caught in the rain, since I put dielectric grease in no problems. As I have said before I think alot of our electrical problems get blamed on the ehc when the root of the problem is somewhere else, ie bad wire, switch, VR, etc.
