EHC is now history

Hey Night Train...
What is the difference, electronics wise, between this Thunder-Heart chassis controller compared to the Thunder-Heart units in 2003 and older Big Dog Bikes from the factory? [/QUOTE]

2002 and older is the Thunder heart module, direct replace. 2003 change the headlight and starter circuit around and a couple other minor differences that I am sure could be wired around.

I was wondering what the differences were from the Thunder-Heart module that BDM used back in pre 2003 compared to this new Thunder-Heart module that you just installed in the EFI bike?

Can anyone tell me the difference between the Thunderheart 4250 from the '01's and the BD upgrade replacement for this part? Second question, does anyone know if a brake switch being constantly on could burn out a component for the turn signals. Seemed to be the sequence to my problem. No turn signals. Fixed the brake switch problem.

So, with all the threads about EHC issues, I decided to take the plunge, yank it out and use the wire plus harness. It has taken me longer to do than what others have said. Of course I am an eraser eating, knuckle dragging, mouth breather so I tend to go slow when it comes to the tech stuff.

I am pretty much done for the most part. Initial testing has my right rear tail light out when I turn the key to the accessory position. Otherwise, so far so good.
My question to the others out there with air ride suspension...where did you mount your stand alone switch?

I know I am beating a dead horse but I am taking my 2004 Mastiff in this Tuesday to have my BDM EHC replaced with a TH ASM4260, and the mechanic assured me all I would need is this TH ASM4260. Is there any other part I need to take to him to assure that I have all I need for him to get the bike off the rack and running? As I read through this thread about the ASM4093 part it makes me wonder. I want to keep all the stock components that I can with as much functionality with the factory controls. Will I need a new ignition switch, and what happens if I hit the start button by accident while she is running? I would like to chat with anybody who has the time to answer some of these questions before D-Day this Tuesday.

not yet but they are available I just talked to BDM Friday about a new Speedo and they are shipping the electrical kits as ordered as soon as they arrive.

The BDM kit I think is $592 for the non EFI I have one on order
