This is a picture of an ehc off an 07 Mastiff carbed, will it fit on a 06 pibull carbed? It looks the same although the p/n is different.

I stand corrected

Short, single-board EHC that functions the same
as 171-000015-00 but has a semi-hard, clear
potting material. This EHC was introduced in
December 2006 for the 2007 model year. Uses a
round serial cable plug for diagnostic software
and has surface-mount LEDs that do not
protrude from the top of potting materiaL

Any 2005 and up carb version EHC will fit into any carb Big Dog. The EHC's on EFI models will not fit carb models though because the positronic connectors are mirrored. That was done to make sure a carb EHC wasnt put into an EFI bike due to the bank angle sensor needing to be activated. Oh and your 0548 date is the 48th week of 2005.

I had no idea they would all fit from 05 and up on the carbed models but 0548 who would know its the 48th week of 05 , Youre pretty sharp as well C.A . :whoop:

If your putting a black EHC for EFI bikes on a carb bike that isnt possible unless you cut the outer ring off the positronic connector Doug. When we switched to that EHC we got with the supplier of the EHC and the backbone and power harness and had them reverse the outer rings on them so it wouldnt be possible to put a carb EHC in an EFI bike. I will say you are right that if its an EHC from the 2007 Bulldog era then that gold colored EHC will fit into a carb bike and vise versa.

To distinguish between those and the later model year EFI EHC's we went to the anodized black case instead of the gold.

Not going to get in a pissing contest with you. I answered the original post on what EHC fitments would work. I even said you were right if it was a gold colored EFI EHC from the 2007 Bulldog era. It was a fyi general reference for any member wondering when I mentioned the black EFI EHC's in case they tried to buy a used black one to fit into a carb bike. Just sayin....

Ok, I'm using a 2008 K-9 EFI EHC on my carbed 2008 MASTIFF and it's working perfectly... My EHC is a light blue in color though. :D

Sounds like your Positronics are right where they need to be Brew...BTW, my hat's off to you as far as being a vet! We have a couple of bikes in our shop at the moment that belong to Service members. Both of them served in Afghanistan. We're planning on doing a lil write up on both of them..One is a kid that had us assemble a Pitbull roller kit that he purchased from BDM before they went down...it turned out awesome. Pics soon to come! Thank you! :flag:

Thank you Doug, I would do it all over again if called upon. I'm sure those service members are loving their scoots and are lucky to have y'all here to build/work on them. My Mastiff was my retirement present from the wifey. Best purchase I've ever made and was in love with it the first time I layed eyes on it...:D :2thumbs:
