EHC finally bit the dust

06 K9 stock ehc finally gave it up. Replaced it yesterday with the RIP 2 and let me say was pretty simple and had detailed instructions. My bike has always started good BUT let me tell u, yday after the RIP install in spun over like it had 1000 amp battery in it. Fast and immediate. I don’t know if these factory ehc’s are not letting the starter get all the power or not but I know it’s a BIG difference now.

Good to hear they now provide "good" instructions. Years ago i bought a Rip first generation as a spare and later sold it to a member. When he was installing it he found the color coding of some wires were not correct. Glad they are now on spot

Yea the instructions are clear and every wire was labeled where it goes

That’s the way to go. No trouble. 20-30 min back on the road.

Yea some of my wires were nicked up a little and the RIP kit had all the replacement wires I needed. Those nicks prob what got my ehc. It wasn’t as simple as a plug and play like Axles but it was pretty easy

Switched to Axels ehc 58 this year- plug and play - 8 functions programmable - good choice.
you need only some dieelectric grease for the connectors.

Glad that you are up and going with not much trouble. I did a review on the forum of one of the first ones on I believe Tapios bike and it Was a disaster But it’s been along time ago.
