EHC / electrical problems starting no red LED for RUN

Hello BIGDOG Riders,

I ride a 2008er K9 carburetor model. Normally, pressing for 2 seconds on the Run button and then red light LED on the EHC is working. (Start Enable) Then you can press the start button and my BIKE is running. I have found wen i wash my bike with wet water than gives problems Then I have to very often (20-30 times) press the Run button an now after 30times the red light LED is working. If I do it more often then the red LED comes sometimes even after 1 or 2 times press RUN. But since today is no more. 100 times've pressed the RUN button but the red LED does not come on, contact spray've also sprayed on the buttons around the control buttons on the handlebars. Nothing doing my K9 is scheinbbar a teenager and bitchy because I washed them wet. EHC is now broken? Should I throw the stupid crap thing into the sea? Or you have an idea what this could be. For your help I would be very grateful.

These bikes do not like to be washed with water. I only use micro-fiber towel,s and detailing spray. You may try taking apart the switch housings and using your contact cleaner directly on the circuit boards. Also disconnect the battery and apply dielectric grease to ehc connections. (Leave set battery disconnected) open overnight to let moisture dry out of connections. You can also remove the fuel tank and dielectric grease and shrinkwrap the connections underthere. Gently tug on all wire,s in connectors to make sure there locked in tight. I had one back out on me not long age. Good Luck.

if you go through connectors checking for pin to socket integrity+ dielectric grease you will all but eliminate any water issues. Its the same when washing under the hood of your car, its not suggested you spray water directly on electrical connections or electrical equipment.
