EFI Malfunction (light On)

Does anyone know what would be causing the EFI malfunction light to periodically come on. When it does come on, it runs rough. Any help would be most appreciated.

That light on your EFI could be telling you that you've lost your "ideal" fuel/air ratio that the CLEFI is trying to maintain, it'll run rough and then go back to normal. What octane of fuel have you been using? Clean your fuel system. Run a couple caps of seaf-foam through each tank of gas.....once your fuel system is cleaned and it potentially solves your issue, put like a 30 micron fuel filter on.....

Will Sea Foam or any engine cleaner bother the liner in the tank?

When you pull the injectors to clean them, you can use a small square 9volt battery to open them. Don't use the 12 volt on the bike, you will burn them up.

The only way to know is to set up Pro Tune on a laptop and check the fault.

Otherwise you will just be guessing.
