EFI EHC vs. Carb EHC (little help)

What is the difference between the efi ehc and the carberator ehc in our newer dogs 2009 and up? Will the carb ehc work in a efi dog ?:flag:

No it will not the EFI EHC has a bank sensor and will not work on a carb bike....

55 is correct.

The fuel injection module plugs into the EHC. If I had to guess I don't think they are interchangeable.

I am having problems with my 2009 efi ehc. It only has 2 harnesses that plug into it. It is the black in color ehc. A friend of mine gave me one for a carburator dog with the same color. Right now i don't have the funds to change to the wire plus or bd pdm.:flag:

There is a way to re-program ... and you can use the carb EHC on your bike...

Might not necessarily be your EHC. What issues are u having?

There is no difference in a EFI or carb EHC on an 2007. It's how the main harness pin out is connected to the EHC connectors makes the difference. Did BDM change the EHC for 2008 and newer?

I thought the EHC would work on either type till the end of BDM's run.

My 07 ehc wouldn't work on ground pounders 09 bike. Both are. EFI.

:flag:Yes. I was told by bdm that half way through 2008 they changed ehcs to a model that flipped which was the female and male connector from ehc to the wire harness plugs to help keep water out. The new modules are black and the 4 large pins are smaller in diameter than the old style.:up:
