Air leaks are when she won't idle. Does it idle well? She also pops out the carb/t-body if there is an air leak. The thing to do with a cold engine is start it, spray the intake manifolds with contact or brake cleaner. Get the engine too hot, the spray might catch things on fire. If you spray a cold engine, there is less rubber swelling or expansion to close things off when warm.
She either stalls or revs up with the spray. Not to get confused you spray too much around the air cleaner, it takes a whiff, then stalls/revs... Limit your amount of spray in said locations.
