hi if the ecm is fried can you reboot it or do you need a new one it on a 2009 mastiff I live in Australia and it's hard to get parts or info have been told the ecm is no good and can't be rebooted is this a problem with them

Well the ECM is the control for the FueL injection system.
The ECH is the control for the rest of the bike.

If its the ech and it the original design from BDM -- replace it -- sooner or later it will bite you.
ECM -- haven't heard a lot of problems with them, so I don't know.

It is possible to loose your map on the efi module, s&s vfi to be exact. Which you can down load a new map if it's a unlocked version of the efi. Which is worth switching from the original locked version to the unlocked version if you have the $ cause the unlocked can be tuned by anyone at anytime.
