Wow, whats up with the cob webs, you need to get out and ride more.
Haven't seen an EHC do that, maybe someone else has. Just for giggles and grins, pull the cables off the battery, and hold the positive and negative wires to the EHC together for about 15 seconds and see if it will reset itself.

Reset it! I might be the only one with original EHC and haven´t had a problem since I got the Bitch, she´s a 2006 K9.

Oh, and I do cross country rides too! lol.

"Maintenance..... see bottom of my signature block"

PS. If it was dead it would not have the lights on!!!

Yeah, there was a big blow out about this on FB, Andrew told him you couldn't reset it by doing so and that he would smoke it, I told him you could as well as Marc, Marc got slandered after offering the help to him.. Andrew is something else the way he conducted himself as a business owner and an individual period! Now this guy is here where there is a bit more knowledge then fb and I hope he gets the answer he is looking for. Don't go replacing the module because they are notoriously bad unless u are 100 percent it is.. just saying! There are bikes out there with original EHC's with tons of miles on em. Have an 07 k9 sitting in my garage right now with 32k+ miles on it with the original ehc..

You get your battery tested recently? EHC are real finicky with voltage

Or maybe it's Christmas?

Idk if u have to be a member or not.. but basically he waa asking about the same thing on the FB BDB site and Marc told him to disconnect and hold cables together for a reset and he and Andrew both said Marc was out of his mind and blah blah.. not cool at all!! Pissed me off actually and it takes a heap load to get under my skin!

Probably a good thing...
Kind of.. ya know Paul, there are quite a few of us who offer up this forum as help because it seems like there are way more ignorant Big Dog Owners then n e thing.. most never venture this way and it's sad really because there is so much knowledge here between everyone it's not even funny.

I'm just not impressed with the facebook scene. I don't care what people are doing 24hrs./day. and the trivial nitpicking that never seems to stop.
I get it for sure.. not a th fans myself, just got it for the BDB deal, it's actually my wifes.. but to tell you the truth there is a lot of similarities between this and FB.

The problem goes much deeper than you know between these 2. Just sayin, and there's business owners like that here also:yesnod:

That module could simply be tested by many and some for free, like Slick117 offers, it don't get any better than that:old2:
