That's how I bought mine too. When I sold my SL500 I used the option of advertising locally on eBay and the car sold to a guy in Philly while being advertised locally in Tampa. Go figure....

I got a guy in PA that emailed and called me wanting to send me a deposit to hold the bike for him for 3 weeks until he could come down and see it. I told him first guy with the cash at my door gets it. I guess people from all over search CL ads in other states...

I put a 8' outdoor patio set on CL this morning and it sold within 2 hrs.... Love CL.... Now if ya could only get bids on the wife....

The guy who bought the 2015 gold coin wanted a 2016. My listing said random year but he filed a compliant anyway. Ebay told me to compromise and send him a 2016. I told Ebay I would BUT he would have to send back the 2015 at his expense and pay me the $23 to send him the 2016. He said that was outrageous and wouldn't do it. Now waiting to see what Ebay says.....

Haven't heard anything else on the bike.....

To hell with that ...if you do it wait till you get the coin back first so you don't end up with nothing and out two coins

It won't be sent until I get the old one back that's for sure! I don't think the guy will spend $46 to get a different coin. It just shows how crazy some people can be...

Yep, and the lawyers will get 99.9% of the money and the Paypal members will get pennies..... I opted in once to one of these lawsuits and the lawyers got a $40 million settlement. I got $3.40

Today, my store just received a larger than normal order. That should be cause for celebration but instead I feel skeptical and nervous....how pathetic is that?! I have plans of video taping the whole packaging process (not like having evidence ever has worked in my favor!)

That's awful that you have to worry about getting ripped off when your trying to make a difference

I'm sure you have had your share of Ebay and PayPal deals... Why do they screw the sellers who make them the money? I tried to delete my PayPal account but they say I can't because there are transactions pending..... A pile of BS...

Hope you are doing alright...
Just delete any accounts you attached to PayPal. Then they can't pull any money from anywhere. I did that then opened another eBay and PayPal account with a different email and the works.

Now Ebay needs 2 payment sources and Paypal has to be one of them. Paypal needs at least 1 payment source and they charge a $1 to it to make sure it's real... There's no way to get around it.

I know this ia an old thread, but I started to read it and could not stop,,what a bunch of bullshit,,myself I guess I've been "lucky" although who ever I buy from,I don't buy unless they have a 98% rating and I read their feedback,,have not sold anything, and I guess I won't be....Can't you contact your card company on your Paypal acct.and remove paypal from it?

Well, Ebay hit me up for $1080 for fees selling and listing 8 coins. Paypal hit me up for $98 to accept the money so they made money I lost money. Never again.... If I dispute it with my CC company they will just produce the "fine print" contract and get their money... Seller beware...
