Well, Ebay hit me up for $1080 for fees selling and listing 8 coins. Paypal hit me up for $98 to accept the money so they made money I lost money. Never again.... If I dispute it with my CC company they will just produce the "fine print" contract and get their money... Seller beware...
Wow!!!!,That sucks big ballz, sorry to hear your going through that shit..

I got my Harley custom bagger project done and listed it on Ebay with a buy it now or best offer. I got a best offer and didn't look close at the buyers feedback which was 0.... I accepted it.

My auction stated a deposit of $500 was due within 24 hrs. 3 emails and 48 hrs goes by and no response. I submit a non paying compliant. Ebay says I need to wait another 4 days to cancel the deal. In the mean time he gets an email from Ebay explaining he bought the bike and owes me the money.

He sends me 3 emails saying he doesn't know what Ebay and I are talking about and he didn't buy anything and calls me all kinds of names. He says he will come and cut off my balls for the trouble.

The next day he sends $1.00 to my Paypal account with a message of "Game on bro" and Ebay says I now have to ship the bike (which my listing said the buyer has to arrange shipping) because he "paid for it"...

I contact Ebay and they say he bought it. I explain he sent $1 and not the $500 and he still owes thousands and he sent me very nasty emails. So sorry Charlie said Ebay..... Ship him the bike or we will delete your account.

I refunded him the $1 and told him where to go.... I'm done with Ebay as they are nothing but a scam.

I also decided to sell 8 gold 1 oz coins on Ebay because I'm buying a house and needed $10k. I sold all 8 for $1,115 each thinking I made a good deal. Ebay charged me $20 for listing each one plus $115 final value fee FOR EACH ONE and Paypal charged me $36 each to take the money... So a $1,115.00 sale I get $944 plus it cost me $23 each to send and insure each one so I got screwed.... I could have taken them down to the local coin shop and gotten $1,099 each. I'm so done with Ebay it's not funny........ I have been a member since 1999 with over 1290 pos feedbacks and they treat me this way?

You want free shit just buy something on Ebay and when it arrives just contact Ebay and say it's not as described and Ebay will refund ALL of your money no questions asked. You will still have the item, your money and the seller gets screwed.... Ask me how I know...

I sold the complete inner and outer primary with the clutch, gears, chain and all parts off the Dog. When the guy got it he said it was "not as described" because it was missing a bolt..... ONE bolt!.... Ebay took all the money he paid out of my account, sent it to him and NEVER notified me to resolve the "problem" so he got it all for free and I got screwed....

Sorry just venting......
VENT away, I still use it, but have a few similar stories and the fees keep going up and up.. I've sold some high dollar stuff, guy said he NEVER got it even though I sent it and HE FUCKING SIGNED for it, sent all the receipts and signatures to paypal and ebay, same thing, gave him ALL his money back, I'm out my money and my merchandise...now I video everything I ship and take pictures etc....it's a joke...

Feel your pain brother......not very many honest people left....

Well as a buyer on Ebay I was screwed recently. I bought a exhaust pipe for my Bigdog and the item was described as:

I had these installed on one of my bikes to try them out. They have been used for about 1 hour. They sound great. I sold the bike. There is nothing wrong with these exhaust... I just no longer need them. They come with shields and an unused O2 sensor kit from Drag Specialties (part number: 1861-0594).

Thanks for looking!

After contacting the seller thru email on Ebay and thru text and phone conversation I bought these pipes for $499. I noticed right away a grinded spot on the rear pipe which of course was not in his Ebay photos, but I figured the heat shield would cover it so what the hell the pipes looked ok, but I could tell they were used for more than an hour. So I send that Saturday installing my new pipes, and for some reason I can't seem to get them to clear my rear belt pulley cover. So I called the manufacturer of these pipes and asked for so advide on what I might be doing wrong. I explained the pipes to him and when I mentioned the O2 sensor holes he told me right away that the pipes were made for left side drive bikes.

So of course I contact the seller and tell him the problem. And I told him I was sorry but I would have to send the pipes back because they wouldn't fit my bike as he described. Not sure how he did it, but when I bought the pipes it said on his profile he accepted returns, but after I contacted him he told me to look again at his ad, it now said he didn't accept returns. So, I filed a complaint with Ebay, and told them that the item wasn't as described, and was also damaged. They reviewed it and said I should have got it in writing that the pipe would fit that the text message I sent them could have been made up. SO I went further, I went to Paypal Credit and they too sided with the seller. So, now I have a set of pipes for a left side drive bike with a grinded on place and paying paypal credit for something I can't use and will never get my money back for. Oh and I left negative feedback on the seller, Ebay removed it off his account.

Weird exact same thing happened to me PayPal covered me. They said they didn't order it after he gave me positive feedback.

The tracking number was all they asked for

I'm REALLY surprised at that because a whole left hand side setup I sold was missing 1 bolt and they gave him back all his money....

I guess now they are screwing both buyers and sellers...

Well, believe it, I have the emails, from both Ebay and Paypal. The Items description is what cost me they said. The item was listed as a CUSTOM HARLEY CHOPPER EXHAUST, how many items on ebay have the same description and items bought will fit the BigDogs? The brand of exhaust I thought was made just for right hand drive bikes. Until after calling the company did I find out that this year (2016) they will be selling the same exhaust for left hand drive bikes, and that this exhaust that I had purchased had leaked out of the warehouse somehow. But either way because he listed it with the name Harley in it and Harleys are left side drive, I was told by ebay and Paypal that I should have done more research on the item I was buying. Hell, I contacted the seller and had text messages of him telling me that it should fit and it would fit a right side drive, I even got the company to send me a text saying it wouldn't fit. Here is the grinded spot I spoke of, yeah this pipe is only an hour old. But Ebay nor Paypal cared about that.

These decisions are probably made by a 22 yr old little girl in some cubical that has never even ridden a bike never less worked on one.

Actually I asked her if she rode and she told me that she actually did. That her bike was a 2011 Road King with a 30 inch front with the neck cut and the blah..blah..blah., ect. But again it is your responsibility to research the part your buying is what she said to me. But I don't know if shes hot or not, but she could make a lot of money working for a 1-900- call center late at night. lmao

I don't buy shit from ebay that's more than $100.00 bucks. That's my level of pain. If I want it, I hit buy it now and go direct otherwise fuck it. I see stories everyday about the bull shit from Ebay and Paypal. What a crock. Good luck to the folks making a living with them. Your brave souls to say the least.

How do you guys feel about feedback......I won an auction and paid the seller in less that 30 minutes......I emailed the seller and asked that he give me positive feedback for making quick payment......he emailed me back and said that he would leave me positive feedback only after if left him positive feedback first......I responded that I had full filled my obligation by buying his item and making a quick payment and he should leave me positive feedback for that. He never responded
Slick - I sell vintage Mustang parts on fleabay and I also will not leave feedback to the buyer until they leave me feedback. While I totally understand that you paid asap and that is that, I got burned 3x doing that. I left great feedback to the buyer then they left me shitty unfair feedback. All my listings are extremely honestly described. Not sticking up for shady peeps, but I gotta say I understand this guys rule. Fleabay sux big time tho all around!!
