Ebay BS

I got my Harley custom bagger project done and listed it on Ebay with a buy it now or best offer. I got a best offer and didn't look close at the buyers feedback which was 0.... I accepted it.

My auction stated a deposit of $500 was due within 24 hrs. 3 emails and 48 hrs goes by and no response. I submit a non paying compliant. Ebay says I need to wait another 4 days to cancel the deal. In the mean time he gets an email from Ebay explaining he bought the bike and owes me the money.

He sends me 3 emails saying he doesn't know what Ebay and I are talking about and he didn't buy anything and calls me all kinds of names. He says he will come and cut off my balls for the trouble.

The next day he sends $1.00 to my Paypal account with a message of "Game on bro" and Ebay says I now have to ship the bike (which my listing said the buyer has to arrange shipping) because he "paid for it"...

I contact Ebay and they say he bought it. I explain he sent $1 and not the $500 and he still owes thousands and he sent me very nasty emails. So sorry Charlie said Ebay..... Ship him the bike or we will delete your account.

I refunded him the $1 and told him where to go.... I'm done with Ebay as they are nothing but a scam.

I also decided to sell 8 gold 1 oz coins on Ebay because I'm buying a house and needed $10k. I sold all 8 for $1,115 each thinking I made a good deal. Ebay charged me $20 for listing each one plus $115 final value fee FOR EACH ONE and Paypal charged me $36 each to take the money... So a $1,115.00 sale I get $944 plus it cost me $23 each to send and insure each one so I got screwed.... I could have taken them down to the local coin shop and gotten $1,099 each. I'm so done with Ebay it's not funny........ I have been a member since 1999 with over 1290 pos feedbacks and they treat me this way?

You want free shit just buy something on Ebay and when it arrives just contact Ebay and say it's not as described and Ebay will refund ALL of your money no questions asked. You will still have the item, your money and the seller gets screwed.... Ask me how I know...

I sold the complete inner and outer primary with the clutch, gears, chain and all parts off the Dog. When the guy got it he said it was "not as described" because it was missing a bolt..... ONE bolt!.... Ebay took all the money he paid out of my account, sent it to him and NEVER notified me to resolve the "problem" so he got it all for free and I got screwed....

Sorry just venting......

Sorry for the hassles,Bill. Especially selling your gold right now...It seems like no matter what, a guy has to be so wary of any transactions because of bright folks who are looking to filch money anywhere they can.
I have coffee every day with a 93 year old WWII vet who is very competent and still drives himself around and lives at home. He recently got conned out of $2,000 by a telephone scam.
Sure is infuriating to have to interact at all with these bottom feeders who want to take things they didn't earn.

Oh Bill! How horrible! I've had a couple bad experiences with PayPal where the people were obviously lying thieves and I had proof, but PayPal still sided with them. You feel violated twice.
I'm sorry! That sucks! :(

I'm sure you have had your share of Ebay and PayPal deals... Why do they screw the sellers who make them the money? I tried to delete my PayPal account but they say I can't because there are transactions pending..... A pile of BS...

Hope you are doing alright...

Just a thought Bill, but could one of the trusted members here "buy" your stuff to help close out those accounts? You don't have to use paypal do you? would there have to be a "money trail"? Just a thought to help get those bastards off your back. Stay safe

Thanks buddy but they have it all locked up... Ebay now only accepts Paypal payments... As soon as I can I will delete my Paypal account and I guess ebay has banned me...

Thanks. Bottom feeders is correct. The world is filled with them and sites like Ebay and Paypal help them screw everyone. You know in 17 years I have 100% feedback on Ebay and over 1290 deals yet they screw me.... Just goes to show you what's going on in the world...

Ok, can it get any worse? Yes... One of the people who bought a gold coin has filed a "not as described" claim against me because they thought it should have been a 2016 coin even though I said "random date" in my listing. Now they will charge my credit card $1,115,00 and send the money back to him and he will have my coin and his money... Just kill me..... PLEASE

Looking forward to retirement
Problem with selling on Fleabay is the idiots who open a account as a joke to fuck with people. I sold my KTM 250 and a idiot hit the Buy It Now button. eBay charged me the sales fee . I kept arguing for 4 months that the guy will not contact me and will not pay for the bike. They said a sale is a sale and I owed them the commission! Can not imagine if you sold a motorhome or bike and this happens! I guess you contact a lawyer! I refuse to sell anything over $500 on there now!
