I looked at the guys feedback. He buys a lot of parts for different cars. I wonder if he deals with fixer uppers. He could be trying to cover up prior salvage .....or not. Sure seems like a good deal so far.

It does sound a little fishy. I wonder who is insurance is through! Mine would have been totaled a long time if all it take is a scratch on the frame!!

Maybe to take the bike apart and powder coat the frame to fix the scratches would put it in the total zone for $$ with the other damage it has.

Doesnt seem right. Ins Co totaled it but yet he has the title. Did he buy it back from the Ins Co? Also that bike wouldn't be worth $25000 in today's market if you zip tied $10000 in cash to it.

:eek:If I lived in Oregon, I would have to drive by and look at this "Totaled" bike and make a cash offer if the engine ran good!:D

Looks like a new front signal light, new 2 into 2 V&H pipes, a simple bondo/paint job equals a new low mileage bike. Heck, the pegs don't even look damaged!

Yes, here in the UK, they say it needs a new frame if the paint is scratched. So the cost of repair exceeds value of bike. You need to know that he has bought the bike back off the insurance company though, PLUS, it will be recorded as a total loss on insurance databases.....

I had a sportbike that was considered totalted because the frame had a dent the size of a quarter in it and some scratches. I bought back from ins company replaced plastics and got it inspected for a salvage tittle.

He could have bought the bike back and received a salvage title. It is possible...

I sent him a mess asking about the "clean title" and said I wanted to look at it and would ride down this weekend to do this. No reply....yet.

In WA, after the ins totals a vehicle, the next title issued after a state inspection is a salvage title.

He may in fact still be holding a title to the bike and it may not be his to hold.

Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Hi, The insurance adjuster totaled the bike because of the scratch on the bottom frame. They did not ask to for my title, they asked me If I planed to keep it. I said yes and they let me keep the bike and gave me less money for it. I have a clear title, I do not know if the new owner will get a branded title or a clean one. From what I was told if they brand the title they take the original one from you so that you cant resel it with a clean title. In this case they did now want my title so It may be that the title wont get affected at all but Im selling it as is to be safe and if the new owner gets a clear title then they got the deal of a lifetime on this bike! If you would like to see the bike call me and tonight would work. 971-570-2802
