Calling out to all of the Michiagn Dogs, Looking for a shop who can dyno my 07 k-9. I'm having a cam and xxx carb installed at dealership. They can send my bike to another shop to have it dyno tuned for the cost of $450 bones. Seems like way to much money, any input would be great!

Doug... you talkin out of FT? For that price it better include 4hrs of tuning, a video, printout, and a BJ.

Seat... that's good to know... have you saw his work? What about does he charge.

Gas,
That was from FT, they don't do it in house, they just send the bike out. There is a guy who works out of Forest Cycle "Dyno Dan" who did a kick ass job on my Mastiff, only charged $150, but I had too many issues with the dealership itself to return. I will keep it at that, but Dyno Dan knows his tuning!

You and me both Doug... I didn't like the dis-respect that forrest gave to me when I was there. The mechanics were good, even though the one is the owner and he's an ass. Ken, the other mechanic was a decent guy and a good wrench.

And yes the dyno guy is Dan West. He also did Cav and his dads. Cav's was good, but his dad's wasn't. Throwin flames and foulin plugs.

Al knows a guy in toledo that would be awesome.. but his dyno won't hold our bikes.

I know FT outsources but at that price they can forget it! I'll have to call the service manager and ask what's up with that.

When you call around give them the measurement from the very furtherst point of the front wheel(basically the center) to the center of the rear axle

I was impressed with Jeff @ Great American Choppers

Great American Chopper

Don't know their prices, but figured I would pass on the info, I was thinking very strongly about getting some engine work done there.

I have to agree - I met the owner of Forrest 1 time, and that was enough...

Glad to see I'm not the only one who was treated like a Dog at Forest, one day if we get all the Michigan guys together I'll tell you my horror stories.

I know Dozer works at Great American now, he is one hell of a bike builder, his 58 shovel is bad ass. He had it out on the floor last week, he worked for Finch for 18 years but his builds are not as radical. I'm not sure about his engine work but he is a great guy to deal with. They used to have a tech., can't remember his name but he was a big bag of air. Let me know if you have engine work done there, curious to see how they do.

Not sure what he charges but I know there was a setup charge of some kind for the chopper due to the length. Maybe I'll grab a carb and go too. Get a group rate or something.

That's an idea Seat... call him up... lets do it!

Doug... I have heard good things about dozer... I think Cutter was talkinga bout giong there for engine work...

Yeah... for me.. with forrest... it was the fact that they talked down to me... why? IDK Maybe cause I'm the new younger gen on these sweet bikes, not old, with a long beard and whatever... not sure. I always treat everybody the same, but I guess some can't. But what put me over the edge was I dropped my bike off there on a tues for some service and warrenty work. Told them I was going out of town. Called me on Friday, told me it was done come get it. Told them again, I was out of town would pick it up when I got back. Sat they called again... "aren't you going to pick up your bike?" No, I'm out of town till Wed night... "well we got alot of bikes here and I wouldn't want anything to happen to yours!" "Don't even say that, just put it in the corner and forget about it till I get there!"

Never went back! Fuck them! Pretty shitty sense I bought my bike there, and never fucked them over on prices and such... but they had to be a bunch of d-bags!

Oh and I should add... that I want to be there when my bike is ran. Not only do I want video but why the fuck not!

Scott ask him if he wants us to reserve a chopper day when a group of us all take our bikes there and do a run and tune. Shit we all have g carbs and only a couple of us have adjustable ignitions should be a pretty quick job.
