So I called a bunch of places today. Still waiting on one more response.
Syndicated Cycle in Essexville - can't do the long bikes
Great American Chopper in Troy- no answer twice (think cutter said they didn't have a dyno)
Forrest Cycle in Flint - still no dyno after Dan West left
Stevensons Cycle in Wayne - $75 per hour, have to drop off the bike Monday and will "hopefully" get done by the end of the week. Seems to know alot, and says he's the only place in the state that gives true edicurrent brake horsepower (more true to reality). That flowjet dyno's always run high in numbers. And he would want to double check that he can get the bikes on the dyno, that its been a while. Its close to my place so I could stop in with the bike.
Ray C's in Lapeer -
$37.50 for 3 pulls to get numbers (1/2 hr of labor)
$115 for pulls, jetting and timing adjustments (1.5 hrs of labor)
Asked about 6 bikes, say 4 tuning, 2 just pulls. If that was the deal, could do on a weekday. If all we wanted was 6 bikes doing power pulls, no problem for a Saturday.
Then I spoke with some people in the R&D epa/manufacture side. He gave me some good info. I got the contact info for an instructor at Washtenaw Community College. the guy use to run the dyno at the HD dealer in Ann Arbor and is suppose to be good. I guess the college just spent like $400k on a new flowjet dyno and room. I have a call into him to see if they can do them and/or interested.
