at mb bike week this week and spotted speed performance trailer.they have tuned five bikes for me in the past with great results.my 05 bulldog with pipes and a little carb work started at 101 hp 108 tq.new air cleaner, tune,a little accelerator pump work 104hp 111tq.the s&S rep was there and took a special intrest in one of the factory motors being worked.he made some calls and informed me that it was sent to bd motorcycles un assembled.he had no way to identify cam that my bike had.also informed me that a good running 117 should have 125 hp 130tq.according to him mine was the emmissions motor and likely the following would need to be done.cam, change tp rocker boxes, sending me more info this week.i had a 107 tp with 107hp on a 2000 wolf,a 96 s&s with 104hp,and my bagger with pipes, cams, exhaust, power commander makes 89.i guess my expectations were high for the 117

are you guys with these 05 motors changing out the heads or having your small valve heads reworked...im seeing big valve heads on e-bay for around 500. will our 05 heads work or do we start over which is more cost effective...and how much for a total s&s valve train setup...is there a certain serial number to look for or are they all about the same?

Another round please
Get all S&S rocker boxes and parts. Get the XXX G carb. However much you want to spend, the higher the HP numbers.

Advice on changing to s&s rocker box's is just to stop future valve guide wear that tp boxes seem to cause more times not.
