How bout this. Over the last couple of months I had this problem with the bike running crappy and not wanting to start. Finally, the bike went completely dead, nothing when I turned the key. I pulled the battery to get it tested and it was fine. So I got the bike up to the shop. (electrical problems and I do not get along) later that day I got a call that the bike was already fixed... crud inside the micro switch on the handlebar screwed everything up. I would've never thought of that being a problem. I'm glad it happened at home and not out somewhere.

A bad breaker which was under the tank tunnel on my custom built. Start it up, runs fine. Go a few miles and it would die. Let it sit for 20 minutes it would start back up and go another few miles and die... Drove me crazy.
