Well, since I didn't see a forum for stupid questions, I'll post it here. I've been riding British bikes and Harleys most of life. I just bought a 2005 Big Dog Chopper DT. I've got cancer and it was kind of a bucket list thing. I've always loved them, just never pulled the trigger. Anyway, my first stupid question is how do you check the oil level. I took the seat off and unscrewed the oil cap and there's no dipstick or mark I can see on anything else. Like I said, I'm sure I'll come up with more stupid questions, but I'll start with this one. Any other advice or guidance any of you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Sorry about your illness, good luck. According to my '05 owner's manual, the oil level for the Daytec Chopper should be 1 1/2 inches below the rear lip of the oil cap bung (fill hole). Don't overfill or it will blow out your air cleaner and slobber all over your oil tank.
