Dumb Question

I have a 2003 Mastiff & the rubber bands around the frount pegs have gotten old & fallen off. Bought a new set at KC swap meet but I can't get the old ones off. I took the bolt out of the center of the peg but they won't come loose:angry:. It looks like there is a bushing in the hole? Any help will improve the looks of my old Dog. Thanks Torch

If it's anything like my K9, then there's plastic washers on both sides of the pegs that go between the pegs and clevis. Mine pulled right now with the bolt removed.

Then again it may not be anything like mine.

last person may have tightened the bolt enough to have compressed each side of the clevis so as not to allow it to just slip out. may have to find something (very fine chisel?) to make (pry/strike with hammer) some slack between the clevis and the peg.
