Dual tank not filling

Have an '02 Mastiff. Dual tank caps with only right side removable. Can't get the gas to flow over to left side of tank.

Left cap seems to be "locktite" into tank.

Any suggestions?

how long have you had the bike , have you always had this problem ?

left side is reverse thread. there is a small connecting tube but not large enough to fill both sides from just one. try twisting the left in the opposite direction.

Pull your center console and make sure the vent line is clear. Isn't your petcock on your left tank? If so, then if you're running then the fuel is transferring. It goes very slow. The left cap should come off so keep trying. I usually remove both when I fill up and fill them separately.

Older caps swell with the alcohol that's now in pump gas. Left tank is 'righty loosey' (left hand threads). I found that if I use a piece of bicycle inner tube to grip the cap it is much easier to remove. Finally replaced the gas caps on my '02 Mastiff with new ones from Landmark. (New ones don't swell.) To order you have to call Landmark.
