I have a dual cone air cleaner from I think D&M it is called the boss, I have road in rain, hail etc. no problem. you can see it if you look at my pictures but it was expensive, about $1200.00. I installed not to hard. If you have any question e-mail me.

Another round please
I had a D&M spike. Hated it. Restricts the air alot. Killed my dyno #'s, ran out of air. I cut the thing off and slid on a K&N, works like a charm and looks good. Dual cone may be better, but way to expensive and I don't like the look. To big for my taste.

Thanks Bruce.. Thats exactly what im looking for. I think i want mine to stand up vertical. Did all the mounting hardware come with it for the 1,200.00 or was that extra?

My buddy has the dual snorkel on his custom built chopper with a 124" S&S. He said it is just for show. Not good on the highway at all. It has too much air flow restricion.

Remember your motor is nothing more than an air pump. The 05's had smaller valves that the other models so increasing intake air ain't doing you no good unless the motor can move it through intake, valve/piston volume then exhaust.

Almost sounds like im going to be blowing alot of money to create a look with no performance. The stock air intake looks ok and the bike runs great like it is... but when i look at that side of the motor it doesnt say..POW..BLING BLING!! What kind of intake would you recommend that has a lot of bling and wont effect performance.

Axe,
I'm running the Dual cone S&S chromed intake. Yea, I noticed an increase in throttle response. I paid about $600. for it when they first came out, I don't know the price now. Water will get in sometimes in heavy rains (which always seem to find me) and will bog down your motor.
All and all, I like it...

Axe, I found some pics of my S+S ones.

It should be available through S+S website or any dealer, I mean your motor is S+S so they should make a good intake for it, and like I say, I like it...
