Dry rot venoms

My 05 mastiff with original tires about 8000 miles with a little dry rot. I guess I need some stupid low mileage cobras now ?

From a safety standpoint alone, any bike tire over 7 years old should be discarded regardless of the mileage. I have seen a lot of blow-outs in my life, and on a bike it can be deadly.

FWIW Scott, its better to wear them out then to let them dry rot. Solution: ride more!!:D:D

Are those 8000 miles on a trailer? :D

I sometimes wish I had things like this to worry about. Ride it and ride it hard, then get a new set of tires with Metzeler printed on them. Many will tell you those are dangerous and that they will mean a sudden death if you ride with them, however, those who has ridden 1000's of miles with tires looking way worse than yours won't agree with them. I say ride them...

4000 miles were from the original owner he was quite a novice rider no real riding gear and never rode in the rain at all. I'm pretty sure he never got it to 80 MPH ever.
Besides the venoms get better lifespan than the cobras !
I was told not to worry about it though.
I am going to purchase another big dog this week thinking of selling the 05 mastiff excellent shape well taken care of 8000 miles pm if interested.
