1st off let me congratulate You on your choice of a FINE rolling Chassis to build you bike from:D:flag: American Quality & Engineering at it's Finest.

When you ask about a drivetrain are you asking about a :
Transmission & Primary alone....?
My Advice is (I'm not yelling-the caps are for attention purposes)-
DO NOT BUY AN ULTIMA (MADE IN TAIWAN/KOREA AND BANGLADESH) DRIVETRAIN-THEY ARE JUNK!!!!!!!CRAP!!!!CHEAP GARBAGE!!!!!!!
Seriously dude....I give you this advice from the heart and in all sincerity & serious experience.
Anything ultima is made overseas and has a reputation for being JUNK:angry:
You'll be GLAD You didnt buy anything like that to install in your bike build.

The drivetrain issue and measurements on a Pitbull (what year is your roller...?) vary from year to year.I have Three 06 Pitbull Kits that are housing 155 C.I. S&S Engines - only 1 of which is built to completion and running/being ridden as of this writing.
NO ultima drivetrain will fit these bikes-as the DSSC primary & Transmissions are different measurements and dimensions slightly off from a stock softail layout.
You'd need a few different components & mountings and construction to use standard softail dimension components on any BDM -especially the Pitbull.
Write back or PM Me with the year & details of your bike and I'd be More Than Happy to advise, direct, help and guide you to what to use and how to use it in your Great BDM Roller that will sure to inspire you and impress many who admire your build.

I agree with Vince. I heard the Ultima engine is total junk. That's why they are cheaper. You get what you pay for.

I don't have any personal experience with Ultima motors, however I have a good friend that has two Ultima motors in bikes he built and they both have problems.

I think the extra money spent on a S&S motor and Baker drive train would bring a much higher resale

I'm in the same boat. I have purchased a 2008 pitbull rolling chassis and I need a drivetrain for it (Engine, trans and primary) The primary and trans are very hard to find with the dssc set up. I would love any help someone could give me on a complete set up that doesn't break the bank.
Thank you.

I see them on ebay evey now and then, you can also check with bigdogpartsking here on the site he has tons of stuff, as for a motor you can use the 117,124, 131,111,113,107,ect

also keep your eyes peeled for anyone putting a karata belt drive on there bike here on the site they may be willing to get rid of it for a fair price???

Hello,

To help you I had 4 big dogs, I have had the 2008 pit bull for 4 years and know them inside & out.
You need to go with the Baker trans and side cover set up or Baker drive belt.
The frame is extended over 2 inches longer in the primary than the stock Harleys and 2003 and below Big Dogs. They were designed from 2004 up to 2011 with Baker parts. That's custom bikes for you and companies like Big Dog giving a contract to one vender so you are stuck using there parts.
If Baker was to close the bike would be screwed for these parts.

I also have many parts to the 2008 up pit bull including tires which will be hard to get since they are discontinued in the rear 20" rim.

good luck[/QUO:flag::flag:TE]
