Well shredded my first drive belt. got any good ideas where or who to get one from?

I would go with mcgroom hez always got the best prices.. and always the right part the first time... also captin america {wild steed wirkx} can't go wrong with them...

I used my local Harley dealer for the last belt I broke -- but then again I was trying to leave for Thunder in the Valley and broke it on the way to meet my crew. Got towed home and got to the dealer and got to the hotel about 45minutes after they did (I did the superslab, they took the scenic route) Took the scenic route home!

i don't know why i keep forgetting about Mick, we need to get him on here as a supporting sponsor. i guess it's the old "out of sight-out of mind" thing. he was more in the forefront back when he was half of "vicious cycles" but now that he is solely "Mischief Cycles", we need him plastered on the front page. :2thumbs::2thumbs::cheers: sorry about that Mick. :bang:

i went out for a ride around town sunday and felt a slight vibration for about 30 seconds. i continued on and got home to find this. havent taken it apart yet to look at the damage.

Got mine off the S&S website...they make them in conjunction with Gates Belts...had on for 2 years and looks new.

mine did the exact same thing you describbed, bike shop threw mine on and said the wheel wasnt aligned correctly ? but who knows. i was thinking more on the lines of picking up a rock or something cause i hadnt noticed any freying previously...

Dogbone, I would check the front drive pulley on the trans. It's could be loose or the bearings could be shot.

That sucks Bro.....is the rear wheel Aligned properly??

back tire should be aligned right. done as sticky post said and i have had the tire off several times so not the first. Checked the trans pulley last year when i had the motor out for top end repairs. hadnt taken it apart yet waiting on the new belt.
