Drive belt alignment help...Pleae

About a year ago I had new tires installed on my 2003 Bulldog. Today I was looking at a starter problem and noticed this ( see pic ). This cannot be right. I measured to distance the from center of swing arm to center of rear axil and it was right on. The belt is way off center. Any suggestions or comments would be much appreciated. Thanks

is the belt fraying? is the belt centered on the rear pulley? if it is not frayed and the belt is centered on the back pulley, the only thing that could be wrong is the spacer on the inside of the rear pulley might have been switched when the tire was changed. but from here, the belt looks like it is wearing well.

Turn the roller 180° so it sits up straight? Doubt that will help. Look at how the back of the roller is hanging out the back, the front of the roller is hidden under the belt. Is that the tracking problem if the sprockets line up even? Looks like a good camera shot where I see the roller is bent under load? Wouldn't that make the belt roll down and follow the angle? I'd focus on the angle of the dangle.

The belt is not frayed but I found some belt shavings on the belt guard. Ive had that guard off before and never found that. The belt seems to be lined up on the rear pully ok. I thought the same thing about the spacers but if the spacer were switched, would the brake caliper still line up with the rotor ? Thanks for the reply !

Sven, if I understand you correctly, you may be on to something. The bike is strapped down to the lift in this picture. I'll take it off the lift and see if it gets corrected. Boy will I feel stupid if thats it but happy that all it is ! Thanks for the reply.

Well I unstrapped the bike and took it off the lift and WALLA , all is well ! Live and learn I guess. DUMBAZZ !!
