Update..finally digged into this rb replacement. Found my "tick" and "rattle" ! Small bolt in rear RB had come out and wedged into the exhaust valve corner at the drain hole. What a b***h gettin that out! Doesn't appear the springs or valves got damaged. And the other small bolt was halfway out! Should be breaking in these new parts this weekend :)

Sounds like you dodged a big bullet. Like I've said before, you must have good Karma!! Hopefully the small bolt you spoke of was not 1/2 of a long one and getting ready to cause a problem. Did you find a home for the bolt and replace it ?

That was an old bolt from the old RB. Got the S&S's on today. TDCC, 4 turns, nice and quiet and no leaks ! Get some miles on her tomorrow and dump the oil in 100 miles, should be good to go with that. Of course there is usually a casualty.... tiny gauge rear brake light wires got ripped out cleaning the rim while waiting for bleed down. Yes of course they are too short to butt connect back together. Taped up, Tied up, using the front sw. for lights... run it for now ;):p
