A few pictures from the family archive. This is Jet Car Bob Smith, my father-in-law. Inducted to the Drag Racers hall of fame Gainsville FL 1999, and the California Hot Rod hall of fame Bakersfield California 2008. Untouchable Jet Car built by Romeo Palamides. Time frame 1960-63. He has stories. Who in their right mind takes an engine out of a WWII airplane to put wheels on it? Defiantly fun listening to these guys talk about the early days of Drag Racing.
