downtube stickers

can we remove these or is that a no-no...and if we can remove them do we save them...are there serial numbers any where else on the frames...

what i did with mine was remove them and place them on the rear fender under the seat. they come off a little easier with some heat from a blow dryer. they will rip fairly easily, so be careful.

thanks are they required to be on the bike....maybe different from state to state?

I removed mine and stuck them in the owners manual. I think the serial number on the neck and project number is all you need.

Removed mine with a hair dryer and used wd40 to remove the glue residue. Stuck it in my owners manual.

Its a must to remove!!! Just kidding! I removed mine and stuck them on the tool box lid.

I recall a thread on here somewhere that said something like a certain state requires the stickers for a (re)sale. (My memory fails me a lot these days, but I bet California would be a good bet on which state).

Mine were removed in the first day or 2 and stuck somewhere. Here in Okla, we don't even have state safety inspections anymore... It's one of the few perks for living here.

As for old Tom Chop mine have been peeled off since I got my K9 home. Now that I`m in such a radical mood I think that I`ll tear the federal stickers off my mattresses. Take that shit inspection police! Boy do I feel better!
