Attended the Donnie Smith Custom Bike Show this past weekend. Not as many exhibitors as in the past, but still a great time and a good place to get ideas.

I noticed a number of the custom bike builders have gone to a huge or really tall front tire. One builder said he was using 30" rims for the front tires. Here some pics

and another, there were probably a half dozen like this

then there was the really huge, meaning big and wide rear tire, so big and wide there was no sidestand, the bike stood upright on its own

Then there was the exotic, especially when it came to the front suspension

Some nice paint

and even my princess bride, Miss Carol got in on the act trying on different fur hats

Got some good paint ideas, picked up some info at the House of Kolor booth and enjoyed a good afternoon.

Nice pics, I really dig the White Road King. Thanks for sharing... Oh and I thought our rears were wide, I'm not to fancy about the street slick on the bike, that's a little too much. But then, maybe he didn't want to put his feet down on the ground when coming to a complete stop...:D

Thanks for sharing the pictures. Wonder how they get any suspension on those big diameter front wheels? I think they look out of place. Nice wheels but too big.

Stopped by Fury Motorcycles last weekend for their ReGrand Opening & talked to Jeff, the tech there. He's an alright guy. I happened to ask him if he knew about he Donnie Smith Show Bike winners. Turns out that Fury Motorcycle customers placed 1st, 2nd, & 3rd in the Open Class bikes. Ya'll should keep an eye out for that Jeff over there at Fury Motorcycles; he's something else.

The only one that has the big front wheel that I think fits the bike is in picture #6.

Nice paint on all the bikes. I wish I could have made it there.

Thanks for sharing.

The bike with the single sided fork looks like it has the same shock as my mtn bike.... Really....looks almost identical to the rear shock on a Trek Fuel EX 9.9.....

Thanks for the pics. Looks like it was a good show!
