I would also track down and fix your headlight issue while your at it rather than jumper from tail light.

FOLLOW UP: Got my cam sensor, Installed it and it fired right up!! Had a nice day come around so I took it out for a ride... Headlight is flashing and the bike died about 30 times, I was lucky able to gain enough speed down each road to coast it... Tach would freeze lights would go bright then dim and eventually just die.. Any ideas?

I wish I had more money.
How old is the battery? And do you keep it on a tender? After all the cranking you have done in the not so distant past the batery may be low or toast. Or you may have an issue elsewhere all together.

Battery was bought new in July 12' I do keep it on a tender everyday.. Im thinking it could be my ground from the ehc to the battery, I redid it already however maybe there isnt that great of a connection

Looking at the pictures, it looks like that cam sensor melted down. This in turn could have sorted out the rest of your ignition. Wish I had seen your post before now. I would have told you to just buy the entire ignition kit from Daytona Twin Tec. That Thunder Heart ignition will fail on you again and again. The entire kit I can get you for $350.

Yeah, This is where im at now, When I bought the bike the headlight was hard wired, I didnt like the setup so I piggybacked it off the tail light.. Then once i cleaned all my wiring up and got it very organized I decided to try to run the headlight how it should be from the factory Well, Not a good idea cause me all kinds of problems... So with all that being said.. I'm getting tired of working on it everyday to enjoy a 30 min ride, I want reliability So i think in the end it will be this....

Wire plus kit, Some kinda decent ignition, and possibly that Daytona twin tec kit... Now before I get bashed I can turn some wrenches I do not mind working on my own equipment what so ever but the problems I've had with this bike makes me want to roll it off a bride lol. So thats why I'm headed that direction unless anyone has any better ideas as to what can get my bike to be reliable.

It sounds like someone tried to wire it up that had no clue on how the EHC works. That and lack of knowledge on electronics. Wish you were closer, I would lend a hand to help clean up that mess. Unless your up for a road trip :D
I would go with this Spiegler Performance Parts - m-Unit rather than the Wire Plus.
That and the Twin Tec Daytona Twin Tec LLC - Model 1005 Ignition for Harley-Davidson Motorcycles
The kit comes with Internal ignition, single fire coil and plug wires. Retails for $400. I would also invest in a new ignition switch.

Update: Started to play with the wiring more and more, Took tank off checked all connectors, They all look great.. Took tach apart and headlight was acting very strange, So i cleaned the connections now no headlight and the orange light is on, on the EHC... not to sure lol

Another update: Got everything back to normal as far as wiring... Cleaned all connections made sure all have good contact and no wires are coming un-done, Also Checked fuel supply and gas cap both checked out good.

As some of you know I replaced my cam sensor with a new one straight from big dog, Now Ive done some riding/troubleshooting it seems as if the cam sensor doesnt work sometimes.. Ill be riding just fine for say 40 mins or so then all the sudden its like boom shut down, Popped the seat off no lights other then ignition and headlight on EHC, but the tricky part is sometimes the cam sensor does not seem to send a signal then the next time it will be good as new.. I'm thinking perhaps a faulty cam sensor? other then that bike is running as normal.

Well had to have it towed home today, Im not to sure what is going on new cam sensor, and seems like once the bike gets hot it doesnt want to do anything what so ever.. Its a hit or miss It will fire then die 5 seconds later or just not start... Any ideas?

Oh btw! Here is a pic of my paper weight for those of you who care to see!
