:2thumbs:Battery was bought new in July 12' I do keep it on a tender everyday.. Im thinking it could be my ground from the ehc to the battery, I redid it already however maybe there isnt that great of a connectionHow old is the battery? And do you keep it on a tender? After all the cranking you have done in the not so distant past the batery may be low or toast. Or you may have an issue elsewhere all together.
Yeah, This is where im at now, When I bought the bike the headlight was hard wired, I didnt like the setup so I piggybacked it off the tail light.. Then once i cleaned all my wiring up and got it very organized I decided to try to run the headlight how it should be from the factory Well, Not a good idea cause me all kinds of problems... So with all that being said.. I'm getting tired of working on it everyday to enjoy a 30 min ride, I want reliability So i think in the end it will be this....Looking at the pictures, it looks like that cam sensor melted down. This in turn could have sorted out the rest of your ignition. Wish I had seen your post before now. I would have told you to just buy the entire ignition kit from Daytona Twin Tec. That Thunder Heart ignition will fail on you again and again. The entire kit I can get you for $350.
It sounds like someone tried to wire it up that had no clue on how the EHC works. That and lack of knowledge on electronics. Wish you were closer, I would lend a hand to help clean up that mess. Unless your up for a road tripYeah, This is where im at now, When I bought the bike the headlight was hard wired, I didnt like the setup so I piggybacked it off the tail light.. Wire plus kit, Some kinda decent ignition, and possibly that Daytona twin tec kit... Now before I get bashed I can turn some wrenches I do not mind working on my own equipment what so ever but the problems I've had with this bike makes me want to roll it off a bride lol. So thats why I'm headed that direction unless anyone has any better ideas as to what can get my bike to be reliable.
I'm thinking your right, Im just now trying to find either a direct replacement or an upgrade if it isnt much more. any recommendations?I'm still thinking ignition module.
