Have you had the rear wheel off? Sounds like a belt squeel. The belt travels to one side or the other and rubs on the side of the belt. Is the belt loose?

Another round please
Get a bar of soap,(some kind of lube) rub on side of belt to see if it goes away. Then you will know what it is or isn't.

The belt dont feel loose at all? I have never took the rear wheel off.. So just take it and have it tightened and that should fix the problem? Thanks for the help guys..

Did you check your rear wheel alignment? Mine started squealing at around 3k miles and I rode it that way for another 3k. I finally jacked the rear up and realized the dealer who changed my rear tire had put the wheel back on out of alignment. I straightened it out, but it never stopped squealing until I changed to a Panther belt at 10k miles. If your rear wheel is aligned, a little soap, belt dressing, vasaline, or WD40 will cure it for awile. Guys told me not to use WD40 but it never seemed to hurt my belt. Just rub it on the side.

All the above may be the issue, but on mine it was something you just don't know until you have been there done that. On your coil cover (the cover where your key is) there are two bolts that screw into the cylinder heads. Between the coil cover and where the cover contacts the cylinder head there should be a nylon washer between the cover and the head. These things wear out or break, or get lost when engine work is done. When i figured that out, replaced the nylon washers and no more squeek. So lossen the upper motor mount bolt, take the two bolts out that hold the coil cover onto the heads and replace the washers.

I had a noise coming on at acceleration between 2,500 and 3,000 rpm. Drove me crazy - came from loose bolds and screws under the gas tank. Finally realized a difference between full and empty gas tank. Tightened everything and that solved the problem.
Try that.

Belt squeal, I had the same problem. Tightened belt and tracked but I had to clean the belt and the rear sprocket to get rid of the squeal.

Can you describe the weird noise? Is it a squeak, squeal, grinding sound, rattling and where does it seem to be coming from?
When does it happen exactly? Is the bike warmed up fully or does that seem to make a difference?
What was the last service work you had done before it started?
Have you added anything like saddle bags or other items that could move during acceleration?

I would pull the primary and check both the clutch basket nut and the front sprocket nut. Without the compensator nut on the motor they have been known to come loose.

Ive also had the same problem in the past. Mine was the tire adjustments. All better now but you might want to also check you tire pressure. If it gets low that may cause the tire to flex differently under weight transfer and that may cause the belt to rub also. Just another thing that could happen as well... Good luck with fixing the problem...

I had the same problem and it was bad gas ... not me!!!! I also had the enrichner up a little bit ... sounds crazy but that's all it was. I thought I toasted the engine but after draining the tank and filling it up with some "good" gas it ran like a champ. Hope you find the problem and keep on riding .... :job: :D :2thumbs:

It's the belt.... take a candle and rub the wax on the belt... it will stop the squeel and last longer than the belt dressing that I originally tried.

okay I am having a similar issue with loud noise when getting on the throttle. The noise is a loud clank it sounds like its the throttle cables clanking around the bike doesn't feel like it want to accelerate the way it probably should either. I have looked for loose bolts, waxed my belt and still no resolve this is a constant issue. the best way I can describe the sound is that is a metal rattle , clanking sound the bike runs great but the rattle is loud as hell. Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

Could be primary chain check the tension ...it could also be the clutch hub working its way loose ? You need to find the source of this noise before you really screw up something !!!
