Dog House/Winter storage

I have been to busy enjoying my new dog to think about winter and what do you know winter is approaching and still have not built a dog house. I would like to get some input from you guys. I am limited on space and funds. Since upgrading my current home to one with a garage is not an option :D I was thinking about building a shed for the dog only. Would 8x14 give me enough room to store and do light maintenance in?

Also my goal is not to shut the dog down completely for the winter months. Hoping to at least fire it up and take a short ride once a week. Oh tenderize the battery as well. Does my once a week ride sound feasible to keep the dog up and running thru the frigid months? What do you guys do for the winter?

As always your input is greatly appreciated.

I think it would work. Was just at a trailer park looking at a seat project, was all he had and it seemed great. I wouldn't mind building one myself that way I could keep the moisture off it while working in the garage this winter.

I would go a little bigger if possible! 8 X 14 sounds like enuff room.. but once ya get the dog in there along with some tools and a HEATER and such it will get small real quick. BB Chopper has about an ideal size shop/Dog House. Not sure of the dimensions but you could ask him. Just sucks to build something and then wish it was just a little bigger and would have only cost a couple hundred bucks more ya know.

Jimi thanks for the offer and the pics. Looks like 10ft wide gives plenty of room...that was my quandry 8ft or 10ft....8ft I could have it delivered assembled 10ft I'll have to put it together :bang: who has time for that :job:

Hey that would be plenty of room for 1 bike. My Shed is 12 x 16 outside measurements. Inside is about 11 x 15 and I also got to the inside right a beer fridge and inside left my tool chest both out of the picture frame. Got room for the stereo and freezer too. Oh keep it hooked up to a battery tender (cable draped over my throttle) and riding once a week should be good enough.
