Funny how they will come out with a $1k-$5k fine for my tag being vertical but nothing for being caught with a cell phone up to your face and blatantly ignoring the rules of the road...

Almost everytime I have a close call it is a woman in an SUV on a cell phone or in a red sports car.
My first time out in 3 months, Wednesday morn, some idiot pulls out in front of me. I was ready for it and was able to avoid the moron. I have been paranoid to ride since a co-worker slammed into the back of a truck and was killed recently. I still ride without a helmet and they say that would have probably saved him, but then again I think they always say that.

and i agree.. $1.000 fine for distracted driving sounds good to me... South Bend ain't that far away.. and i haven't been there in years... If you need some assistance with the dog I'm sure some of us Michigan dogs could come give a hand.. Kinda like a "Mobil" Gasman work day...

Brent good to hear that you survive for another day and that you are around to appreciate the wife and kids. Sucks that you had to spend time down for some one stupidity that seems to be more and more a common thread with drivers.
Need to make it a strict law and push it national for cell phone usage in vehicles for it is almost as dangerous as drinking and driving.

I wish you and the dog both a speedy recovery.
Damn soccer moms!! They bitch about everything we do. Our pipes are too loud or we should where a helmet because it must be dangerous to not wear one. Next they will have us wrapped in f*cking bubble wrap, dressed in pink and orange, yet they are the ones that will drive around talking on the cell phone, with the kids in the car.
