Dog Gone!!!!

I just got home yesterday after 5 weeks in the hospital!! Had a nice day, in the upper 40's so I decided to take the dog out for a walk. Was rolling for about 30 minutes down a some what busy street when I looked at the last second to see a woman pull dead out in front of me. I was doing about 35-40. The only thing I remember before waking up in the hospital is looking at her face in the window while she had a cell phone up to it and thats it!. 7 pins in my legs along with 11 screws and a ass load of scrapes and bruises and I'm finally back home. My wife had the dog hauled back by a towing company and put in the garage. I made my way out there finally today to take a look at it. Ya, about as busted up as me! When I get a chance I'll take a pic so everyone will know how a Pitbull looks when it slams into the side of a car that pulls out in front of you at 40! Im not that angry because I'm still alive to see my wonderful wife and three boys again and the bike can be replaced/repaired easier than me gone!! And I'll recover fully with alot of therapy and pain pills:2thumbs: ! Moral is, keep ur eyes wide cause people arent paying attention and your life could pass before you in an instant! And i was planning on buying sum kick ass pipes from Neil another member here on the forum. Will be needed quite a bit more now! So if anyone else wants them hunt him down and buy em from him!!! And If anyone has any parts from an 2002 pit, i'll be in the market to get going on the extensive repair after my extensive recovery!

Brent, your Guardian Angel was working overtime that day for you for sure. I'm glad you survived and will eventually be okay. Bikes are replaceable...people aren't. I agree with the others..fines for people causing accidents while talking on cellphones should be as high or higher than speeding tickets in construction zones. Maybe add suspension of their license for 6 months, depending on circumstances..that might deter some. Talking on cellphones while driving is the top cause of accidents in Illinois I read recently! :loony::rolleyes::rant::angry:

Glad you are still with us and thanks for the reminder.

Perhaps "cell phone lady" will be buying you a new scoot?

Glad to hear that you made it through it all-alive. Maybe some day, they'll make a law about those damn cell phones. It will more than likely happen right after they take care of the "wet back" problem.
