In another direction you say you oiled your K&N,, I have oiled my large K&N air filter to heavy and placed it on the bike, and it acted the same as yours. It was drawing the oil into the carb. Got home, hooked it to the leaf blower for a while to blow some oil out, put it back on the bike and it ran fine. Just saying.

That might be it to, the bike was running like a champ before the K&N cleaning, I will try to blow the oil out of the wilter and re celan it.

Anyone has the exact model batt form hd, THANK YOU GUYS.

Take your battery with you and they'll size it up for you. Then you can leave them the old battery so that you don't have to worry about getting rid of it yourself.:D

Just an FYI from a professional lurker.
Some Interstate and older Yuasa terminals have soft terminals that cause loosening our they just break.

I've never heard of any problems with the Braille which is on the top of my must be done asap list.(broken terminal).

Jump starting these dogs is not a good idea.:spank: If you just have to then be sure the jumper vehicle is not running or you may fry your ehc. Other than that start with a new battery. I am sold on the HD battery.:2thumbs:

i had all kind of stuff going on with old big dog battery
went to batterys + take battery with you for fit size
got a 310 cca, this thing now realy rolls over
[dont hit gas till engine is rolling over. starts every time!:whoop::2thumbs:

Not very long ago while riding, my bike just shut down and before I could pull all of the way over it cranked back up. I proceeded for another 3 or 4 miles and it shut down for good. A new battery was just installed in the bike at strokers a week before, so I had no reason to think it was the battery. I placed booster cables on the bikes cables and the lights came on. I then hit the start button and I got the red light from my EHC but it wasn't enough current to start the bike. I carried the battery to a battery store and they checked it. Battery was completely dead. Owner said that battery would charge but once a load was placed on the battery, the battery's voltage would drop to nearly nothing. Purchased a 545 cca odysses, put in and no more shut downs. Now I have a leaking problem around my carb bowl plug.

Ray, you replace your battery every year? Even with a battery tender on it?
Then again, with as many miles as you ride a year it's cheap insurance I guess.
Better to be safe than sorry, right? :yesnod:

Agrees with Ray, I put an Interstate in mine and It does great in warm weather,,,, kinda weakish in cold weather though,,,,

I think when mine scooter freaked about a month ago I tested it running and it was around 14 ish. But my battery wasn't my issue ,, thanks to everyone here I found it,,

Yeah, I've come to learn that batteries are rated on start cycles with riding everyday with lots of starts it wears them out. One only lasted 8 months and that was when I was coming home from Redwood Run last year and ended up renting a u-haul van to get bike home cause I was in the boonies and no places around on a Sunday to buy a battery. They seem to leave me stranded on the road. One before that was in Montana coming home from Sturgis.

Ok new battery in, the bike ran great for about 10min, then the freak out started all over, backfires like crazy , feels like the timeing is off or something, strange very strange, sucks when you have to always ride your other bike because the dog can't be trusted.
