sounds like 2 things to check at least.
1.) reset the circuit breaker. little grey box close to battery button on the bottom.
2.) check to make sure the voltage regulator is charging and if so check out the stator.

check to make sure its charging when runnin. From what you're sayin it sounds like a dead battery. Would not be the first time a new bat was bad.

Might also get bat to a full charge and let it sit over night and see if it drains might have a short somwhere.

REMEMBER, a tender is NOT a charger. a new battery needs to be trickle charged at least 12 hrs before you put in the bike to reach full charge. and even then it still may not be any good.

Get a DC Volt meter, and with the bike not running check battery Voltage, than turn on tender and check voltage at battery. Remove tender and start the bike and check voltage. With the bike running and the tender on the bike the voltage should be almost 14 volts. With the battery by itself the voltage should be in the mid 13s. While the bike is running it the voltage is below 13, I would replace the voltage regulator on the bike. If while tender is on battery if the voltage is below the mid 13s, replace the tender. If the battery is in the low 13s, get it load tested. If it doesn't pass it replace battery.

first off I want to thank you guys for your assistance, I have solved the problem, rode it today, (thought i was gonna freeze to death) but had a grin from ear to ear cold or not! had forgot about how everybody stares as you go by and all the thumbs up, Big Dogs are beautiful machines indeed!
